When someone says drive your hip/ feet into the floor, it means push it down or put weight on it.

few weeks? i just do something like sit ups but crunches style… but i feel tension in my neck when i do crunches..

I use to be a bir flabby but not as much as your saying.. but i started doing crunches this year and within a few weeks i started getting abs and now im well on my way to a 6 pack im pretty close.
but just stomache crunches and what this guy does should help.. do alot of reps, and if your sore its working.. (sore in the abs you shouldnt really hurt anywhere else)

Leg raises on the power tower or hanging leg raises on a pull up bar are all thats needed and will work Both lower and upper abs intensely. Check out my abs, I Never do sit ups or crunches.

if your abs don’t hurt the next day; you have not worked them hard enough
so no you shouldn’t. Just do a lot of sets the first day.
