Is This A Good Beginner Work Out Routine?
Hey ,im a 16 year old male. Looking to get a more toned and defined body, That makes the ladies go gah gah haha. I have joined a gym, and i started this routine. Im 5’9 155 pounds. Can you Tell me what if the routine is good or should i change it abit.

Chest,Back,Biceps
H.S Incline 3/12
Machine Flyes 3/12
Smith Machine 3/12
Chin Ups 3/12
Seated Cable Rows 3/12
Bent Over Flyes 3/12
Barbell Curls 3/10-12
Hammter Curls 3/10
Day 2
Legs,Calves, Abs
Leg Press 4/10-12
Leg Extensions 4/10-12
Standing Leg Curls 4/10-12
Seated Calve Raises 4/10-12
20min Cardio various inclines and speeds
15 AB Class when possible
Sit ups
Knee Raises
Day 3
Shoulder,Triceps
Dumbell Shoulder Press 3/12
Cable Upright Row 3/12
Dumbell LDT Raises with ball 2/15
Tricep Push downs 4/12
Dips On Machine 4/12
20 Minute Cardio
Various Intensity /times/incline
Monday-Day1
Tuesday-Day 2
Wednesday-Day 3
Thursday-Day 1
Friday-Day 2
Saturday-Day 3
Sunday-Rest

Before starting your sessions, do some cardio to get the blood pumping. For a 16 year old I would do at least 30 minutes before the start of my session. Hope it helps.

Looks like your off to a good start, I would think for your age you may need to increase your cardio. Keep up the good work.

I would probably alter it. It’s not going to be very effective working large muscle groups such as your back and chest in the same work out. Check out some online sites and read the magazines. There are tons of workout routines that you can try. Remember to allow variety in your routine. To truly progress, you should focus on more than simply cranking out a certain amount of reps for a static number of sets. Muscles grow best when worked to exhaustion.
