What is the best exercise for a beginner?

I am 20 years old, a little over weight. Want to lose about 30 pounds. I know it will not come off fast. What is the best exercises/regimen that you would recommend to start with? I always seem at a loss at where/how to begin. I have to work out mainly my upper arms and my abs but am looking for a full body tone. I already have healthy and balanced eating habits, it’s the movement that I don’t get. I have access to weights and machines.

wen i was 19 i made a decison to lose weight. i lost 50 pounds and have kept it off for 3 years. I work out treadmill/eliptical machines 40 min. a day. First join a gym try the treadmill. I also drank super slimming tea (triple leaf) this helped me alot. Beware diet and excercize is great for weight loss but when you dont see results try the tea . I only suggest to use the tea only if you work out becuase using it on a reg. basis is not suggested. I like frosted mini wheats it makes you feel full and theres no fat.
