What kind of workout can I do with 3 pound dumbbells?

abs beginner
I’m a 15 year old girl and I’m a beginner in cross country. The only dumbbells in my house are 3 pounds each. What type of workouts could I do with these? I would like to work on my upper body, abs, and legs, but not necessarily all at the same time.
By upper body I mean arms. My arms are weak, but these dumbbells are very easy to lift.
Btw I DO NOT want/need to lose weight. I’m 5’1 and 100 pounds.

There’s an endless amount of workouts you can do. Purchase a fitness magazine, or even Seventeen I think has workouts in every issue.

Run around the track with them. I do this with 15 pounds. Do your regular arm motions wen your running. At the end of your last lap they will feel like 50 pounds. You get muscular and cardiovascular training.

I would run with them. They add some extra weight and with the arm motion would help tone your arms. You can really do any excercise with them. They’ll just add some resistance. If you’d like more weight, dumbbells are really inexpensive. You pay about $1/pound. For your size I wouldn’t see you needing more than 10lb bells.

carry them around all day, while you eat , watch tv, talk on the phone any thing have atleast one in one hand doing up and side reps back and forth. it will slowly build strength…and if you can hold 2 at a time try it after you get use to one.

I’ve included two websites that will give you the exercises that you can do at home. Stick to compound exercises until you can get heavier weights. Once you can get heavier weights, you can move to isolated exercises. You can purchase weights at any sporting good store at prices varying from $1.00lb to $3.00lb.
Since you do not want to lose weight, make sure that you are eating a high protein, excess calorie diet. I’d say an average of 200 extra calories a day, on days that you lift.
Terms:
Compound exercise: one exercise that involves multiple muscle groups
Isolated exercises: one exercise that targets one muscle group.
Diet: does not mean a calorie deficit. This word is used to describe your daily eating patterns
