Can you get abs from lifting weights?

ok so ive been lifting weights and building arm muscles but i was wondering if u can get abs or loose weight if u lift weights (there 15 lbs. and im 12 but i hafta do this for football next year in 7th grade). and just so u know im not like super wimpy right now my muscles are pretty big for a 12 year old just saying.

to get your abs to show, you need to do crunches and situps using weights. hold a light weight plate behind your head and do various crunches and situps for 20 min twice a week. try to rest as little as possible in between sets and keep good form. this will get you abs.
and continue a good weight training program at least three times a week working everybody part at least once
