What are the best supplements you’ve used for assisting in with abs.?
OK so I know diet and exercise is what’s required to get good abs. Well, I never exceed my daily fat intake, and I lift weights and do cardio a few times a week, plus crunches. But I’ve still got about a 3/4 inch layer of fat over my abs that has been there for years. So I’m looking for something that will help me a little bit.
I know there are tons of products such as thermogenic drinks, metabolism boosting pills, creams that supposedly mobilize the cells, and who knows how many others.
I’m wondering if anyone has any solid experience with a product that works. One that’s made a big difference for you. Thanks.
There is really no magic pill for forming a good mid section, but the answer is simple….if you still have a layer of fat around your mid section it means that you are still storing fat or that your body has become more efficient at using the calories you feed it. So the trick will be to fool your body into burning more fat. Alot of people can do this by fluctuating their intake of calories. For example, on Monday try to cosume about 1800 calories…on Tuesday jump to 2400…then on Wednesday drop to 1600…and so on. The problem is this…if you have a constant and consistent intake of calories your body learns to use what it needs to survive and save the rest, so the idea is to keep your metabolism in high gear by forcing it to be in a constant state of change. This is the same reason it is easy for people to lose 10 lbs the first week they start working out, but have a more difficult time losing weight in the future….their bodies learn to compensate for the exercise or lack of calories. Of course, try to eliminate anything with high fructose corn syrup from your diet as well. Also keep in mind that it is much more difficult for some to achieve a tone mid section then others…..the fat didn’t show up over night and it won’t go away over night. Hang in there and stay positive.

Concentrate on your calories each day. Eat healthy and try to lose weight. Doing crunches, abs machines, etc. only works the muscles. If you have fat over the muscle then the crunches do not matter. You need to lose the fat first. So watch calories and try to lose a few pounds. If it doesn’t work, then maybe talk with a doctor.
