Depression is a common psychological disorder where in the person feels hopeless or pessimistic. This is due to tragedy in life like death in family, loss of job or isolation from family and peers. A person with psychotic depression feels hear voices and see things which are not true. Dysthmia is type of depression where the person experience sadness for a long time and stopped enjoying life.
Depression affects work capacity and performance. It can last for days and months. If left undiagnosed it leads to complications such as suicides. Some of the people with depression tend to hide it while others don’t know about it. But if there are signs of depression it is best to consult a doctor and start treatment.
